Indian Coast Guard (ICG), Ministry of Defence ke under, ek armed force hai jo India ke maritime borders ki suraksha aur maritime law enforcement ke liye kaam karta hai. Navik (General Duty & Domestic Branch) aur Yantrik (Technical) ke posts ke liye CGEPT (Coast Guard Enrolled Personnel Test) har saal do baar hota hai.

Eligibility Kya Hai? ✅
- Nationality: Male Indian citizens only (Navik GD aur Yantrik ke liye). Navik DB mein male aur female dono apply kar sakte hain.
- Age Limit (as on 1 August 2004 to 1 August 2008 for Navik;1 March 2004 to 1 March 2008 for Yantrik):

Relaxation: SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years, non-creamy layer)
Education:
- Navik (GD): 12th pass with Maths and Physics (50% aggregate) from COBSE-recognized board.
- Navik (DB): 10th pass from COBSE-recognized board.
- Yantrik: 10th pass + 3/4-year Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics & Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering (60% aggregate) OR 10th + 12th + 2/3-year Diploma in above streams.
Physical Standards:
- Height: 157 cm (minimum)
- Chest: 5 cm expansion
- Weight: Proportionate to height and age
- Vision: 6/6 (without glasses), no color blindness

Yantrik (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics):
Role: Machinery aur equipment maintenance onboard ships/aircraft
Salary: ₹29,200 (Pay Level-5) + ₹6,200 (Yantrik Pay) + DA + allowances

Stage I (Written Exam):
Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT), MCQ
Sections:
Navik (DB): Section I (60 Qs, 60 Marks, 45 mins) – Maths, Science, English, Reasoning, GK (10th level)
Navik (GD): Section I + Section II (50 Qs, 50 Marks, 30 mins) – Maths, Physics (12th level)
Yantrik: Section I + Technical Section (III/IV/V for Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics)
Negative Marking: None
Qualifying Marks: UR/EWS/OBC (30% per section), SC/ST (27%)
Stage II (Physical Fitness Test & Assessment):
PFT: 1.6 km run (7 mins)20 squat-ups (Uthak Baithak)10 push-ups
Assessment: Adaptability test (OMR-based)
Documents: Verification of uploaded documents
Stage III (Final Medicals):
Conducted at INS Chilka by military doctors
Checks: No cardio-vascular issues, no surgical deformities (e.g., knock-knees, flat foot), no past history of fits
Stage IV (Training):
Basic training at INS Chilka (academic, sports, outdoor activities like sailing, firing)
Document verification by Boards/Universities/State Govt.
Final Merit: Stage I, II, III ke performance aur vacancies ke basis par.
